Evolution of museum sculpture art
The concept of the museum has a long and fascinating history, dating back to ancient Greece. It started with the mouseion of Alexandria, a place dedicated to the Muses – the Greek goddesses of the arts. These institutions were more than just repositories for artifacts; they were centers of learning and culture, where scholars could devote themselves to the study of scriptures.
In the Renaissance, this concept evolved further and began to resemble the museums we know today. This new form of museum housed collections of paintings, sculptures and other art objects. And now, at Popart Statues, we try to preserve a piece of that cultural heritage with our beautiful collection of museum sculpture art.
