Twinkle, twinkle, little star – six suns make my day is the title of the Miffy statue by Rik van Iersel. ‘Twinkle, twinkle<\/i> is one of the oldest and most famous children’s songs worldwide. Everywhere you go you hear this song as an icon of recognition and as a symbol of positivism. You can apply the same power and value to Miffy. To me it seemed like a very appropriate thing to do to unite these two. Furthermore, it is Miffy’s birthday and she deserves to have six suns around her. Because I also borrowed the colour schemes from Picasso and Le Corbusier, multiple icons became one in my statue – ready for a big party!’<\/p>\n
